Virtual Worlds

Currently, FRI maintains a substantial presence in the virtual world, "Second Life".  Visit the FRI-developed islands of Shengri La, Shengri La Love, Shengri La Hope, Shengri La Joy, and Shengri La Peace, to experience the FRI collaboratory. 

FRI's presence in a virtual world reflects its goals and motivations in the waking world, with collaborations and projects jointly developed between fashion designers, artists, scientists, and philosophers.  The nexus between these disciplines has yielded interesting results to date, and there is no apparent boundary to the results that will ultimately yield from these collaborators.

FRI also has an OpenSim island in the IBM Yellow Zone, Shengri La Spirit.  Shengri La Spirit is not open to the public and cannot be generally accessed. Shengri La Spirit is a test sim where alpha testing is conducted, and reviews of this testing can be found here:
